Arthroscopic Primary Repair of the Posterior Cruciate Ligament

چکیده

Abstract The posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) is one of the four major stabilizers knee joint and functions as primary restraint to tibial translation. PCL tears rarely occur in isolation most commonly presents setting multiligamentous injuries. Several treatment strategies for these injuries have been proposed over last decades, including reconstruction repair. Arthroscopic repair has potential preserve native tissue using a more minimally invasive approach, thereby avoiding donor-site morbidity allowing early mobilization. While arthroscopic certainly not an effective surgical approach all patients, this procedure may be reasonable less morbid alternative selected patients treated proximal or distal avulsion tears, with low failure rates, good stability, excellent subjective outcomes. indications, techniques, postoperative management, outcomes will discussed review.

Arthroscopic Primary Posterior Cruciate Ligament Repair With Suture Augmentation

Isolated posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) injuries are relatively rare and PCL injuries most commonly occur in the setting of multiligamentous knee injuries. PCL injuries can be treated with primary repair, which has the advantages of preserving the native tissue, maintaining proprioception, and minimal invasive surgery when compared with reconstruction surgery. Historically, primary repair of...

Arthroscopic Primary Anterior Cruciate Ligament Repair With Suture Augmentation

Historically, poor results of open primary repair of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries have been reported. In hindsight, however, appropriate patient selection (i.e. proximal tears and good tissue quality) was not performed, because it has recently been recognized that good outcomes of primary ACL repair are possible when selectively performed in patients with proximal tears and good ti...

Arthroscopic Posterior Cruciate Ligament Tibial Inlay Reconstruction

CONTEXT The reconstruction of isolated complete posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) injuries remains a controversial topic. Proponents for reconstruction cite the premature development of arthritis in the medial and patellofemoral compartments as a compelling reason to offer reconstruction. Currently, no consensus exists about which technique should be used to reconstruct the PCL. TYPE OF STUDY...
